His story
This type of fabric is known as Kanvô in Africa. It is a fabric originally from Benin that is produced by two ethnic groups: the Baâtanou and the Fon, and they do so following ancestral techniques acquired from generation to generation for centuries.
Artisanal creation
The creation and making process is an authentic process that requires a lot of skill and patience. First, the threads are dyed with natural dyes in a completely ecological and manual process. Next, the threads are prepared and our weaver places them according to the design to be made and, to do so, he requires a large space and his manual weaver. From there, the work of many hours and concentration begins, which gives shape to meters of fabric with an approximate width of 40 cm. Finally, the fabric is made by our seamstresses in which the different pieces are joined together to end up shaping the final result: an authentic work of art.
It is a completely handmade product, so each product is unique and perfectly imperfect. 
Raw cotton from Benin
Organic cotton from local production in Benin. It comes from naturally irrigated crops. A process that respects water and the environment. Unbleached and hand-spun.
